Volker Spanier, Head of Manufacturing Solutions at EPSON Deutschland GmbH was confirmed as chairman of the board.

Frankfurt, November 26, 2024 – At the VDMA Robotics Sector Group meeting, which took place within the VDMA Robotics + Automation Members' Assembly, a new board was elected for the period 2024-2027. Volker Spanier, Head of Manufacturing Solutions at EPSON Deutschland GmbH was confirmed as chairman of the board.

“The political and global conditions will significantly change the rules of the game for robotics. Political requirements in Europe, new Asian suppliers and unclear tariffs imposed by the new US government are already foreseeable focal points here. It is important to recognise and make the most of the opportunities presented by these changes. The newly elected Robotics Board will take on this task and work to strengthen and further advance robotics,” said Volker Spanier after his re-election.

The new board of the VDMA Robotics Sector Group is composed as follows:

·Heiko Röhrig – Senior Business Development Manager, EGS Automation GmbH, Donaueschingen

·Erich Schober – Chief Sales Officer Robotics, KUKA Deutschland GmbH, Augsburg

·Volker Spanier – Head of Manufacturing Solutions, EPSON DEUTSCHLAND GmbH, Düsseldorf
