Waaree Renewable Technologies secures largest 2 GW solar EPC order with Jindal Renewables

Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has secured its largest-ever 2 GW solar EPC contract with Sunbreeze Renewables Nine Pvt Ltd, an SPV of Jindal Renewables. The project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, leverages advanced technologies and sustainable solutions to enhance energy efficiency and maximize solar energy generation, underscoring India's commitment to clean energy.

New Delhi, January 2025: Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, India’s largest solar PV module manufacturer, has secured its largest-ever Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for a 2 GW solar project from Sunbreeze Renewables Nine Pvt Ltd, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of Jindal Renewables. The project will be implemented in Bikaner, Rajasthan, utilising advanced technologies and sustainable solutions to enhance energy efficiency and maximise generation.

Under this collaboration, WRTL will oversee the design, engineering, procurement, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of the solar PV project, ensuring efficient delivery of clean energy to the designated Point of Injection (POI).

Jindal Renewables, one of India’s rapidly growing renewable energy companies, aims to accelerate green energy adoption and drive sustainability. This partnership highlights both companies’ shared vision of advancing India’s transition to clean energy while further solidifying WRTL’s reputation as a leader in large-scale renewable energy projects.
