Cerritos, Calif. – March 2023 – Calnetix Technologies defense and aerospace division will showcase its electromagnetic drive solutions at this years Navy Leagues Sea-Air-Space Exposition from April 3-5, 2023 in National Harbor, MD. The company will have two products on display - a cutaway model of Magnaforce™ high-speed motor generator and an Enercycle™ DC-1000 inverter.
The cutaway model consists of a high-performance lightweight motor generator unit, which is well suited for hybrid electric propulsion systems where power density, reliability and minimum weight are paramount. The Magnaforce™ motor generator unit can provide up to 100 kW of electrical power at 105,000 RPM with a weight of 7.5 kg (16.5 lbs) in approximately 2 liters volume. It is customisable for special applications and provides excellent energy efficiency, minimal footprint and low maintenance requirements.
Calnetixs Enercycle™ DC-1000 inverter utilises silicon carbide-based (SiC) metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) technology and is designed to meet the power conversion and distribution needs of hybrid electric powertrains for military, airborne and naval applications. It can drive propulsion motors and pair with hybrid electric generators to provide mobility and on-board electrical power.
The bidirectional inverter provides high power density, high temperature operation and conversion efficiency of up to 98.5 percent, unparalleled power rating and durability for harsh environments.
Visitors are invited to come by Booth 3409 to learn about Calnetixs reliable and energy efficient products that support electrification and modernisation needs for defense and aerospace industries.
Sea-Air-Space is the largest maritime exposition in the United States and continues as an invaluable extension of the Navy Leagues mission of maritime policy education and sea service support.
